Sway Control FAQs

We carry two types of Sway Controls that are used to reduce trailer sway and improve handling in difficult towing situations. Both types improve stability and also increase towing safety.

What is Sway Control?

The Sway Controls attach to the hitch arms and to the Spring Bars of the Weight Distribution System. The Sway Control unit dampens trailer sway that is caused by traffic and crosswinds. Many factors can contribute to trailer sway - the design of the trailer, the suspension, tire inflation pressures, configuration of the tow vehicle, towing speeds and hitch weight.
